North Devon’s seaside resorts are always popular with families, not just because of the abundance of top attractions and the lure of the beaches and outdoor trails, but also because of the events that are held all year around across the area.
Wet weather events
Although Devon is known to have a warm climate and some of the driest and warmest weather in the UK, we can’t always guarantee what the weather is going to do, which is why you’ll find a whole host of indoor events taking place in North Devon too. Festivals and Trails
There are a number of festivals in North Devon which cater brilliantly for children throughout the year. From live music festivals like GoldCoast OceanFest which takes place in Croyde, to food and drink events and literature festivals, there are lots for families to do together here. As well as festivals, you can find a host of family friendly trails, especially at National Trust locations and other attractions with lots of land. These trails are often themed to match the time of year and seasonal activities.
Whatever time of year you choose to visit, you’ll find plenty to do for the whole family. Many of the local attractions run seasonal special events at certain times of year, like Easter, Halloween and Christmas as well as during the school holidays.
